Elisity Release 26.1: Seamless Migration Paths, Enhanced Policy Visibility, and Expanded Device Management
by Paul Korkowski on Feb 13, 2026 8:00:01 AM
Legacy Security Infrastructure Bridge: Simplify Your Migration Path
Enterprise customers kept telling us the same thing: integrating Elisity alongside existing network access control and security group tagging felt harder than it should be. Release 26.1 fixes that.
Our new Bridge Capability lets you extend Elisity’s identity-based microsegmentation into environments with existing security infrastructure without breaking what’s already working. You can control Elisity Virtual Edge Nodes through Elisity while your incumbent solution keeps enforcing its policies.
Three features make this possible:
- Group Tag Reclamation lets you reclaim unused Group Tag values and reuse them during migration
- High Group Tag Starting Value sets your starting values at 20,000 or higher to avoid conflicts with existing tag assignments
- Manual Group Tag Value Assignment gives you precise control over tag assignments when you need it
Bottom line: you get Elisity’s simplicity without ripping out what you’ve already built.
Expanded Elisity IdentityGraph™ Enrichment
42Gears SureMDM Integration
Customers using 42Gears for OT environments can now import their handheld devices, tablets, ruggedized devices, label printers, and smart watches directly into Elisity IdentityGraph™. Mark devices managed by 42Gears as verified, and you’ve got a trusted source for mobile and specialized device populations. Manufacturing and industrial teams will find this especially useful.
Custom Connector Hostname Deduplication
Customers asked for a way to import devices identified only by hostname, with no MAC or IP address. Until now, that wasn’t possible.
Now it is. A new “Hostname Only” deduplication method joins the existing “MAC Only” and “MAC + IP” options. Industrial equipment and specialized systems lacking traditional network identifiers can now import and track as distinct entities.
Real-Time Enrichment for Cache-Based Connectors
Cache-based connector enrichment used to run on scheduled cycles, anywhere from 1 to 24 hours. Now when cached data changes, enrichment triggers immediately for affected online devices. Elisity IdentityGraph™ stays current without you waiting around.
Configurable Offline Device Deletion Timers
You can now set how long offline devices stick around in Elisity IdentityGraph™ before automatic deletion. Configure a global timer system-wide, then override it per Policy Group when you need different retention rules.
Guest networks are a good example: you probably want shorter retention there than on your production floor.
What you can configure:
- Global and Policy Group-specific timers for fine-grained control across different environments
- Policy Group settings always override global defaults so you can tailor retention per use case
- Separate purge timers for standard vs. randomized MAC devices to handle transient and persistent assets differently
- Devices with manually configured attributes are protected from automatic purge
Enhanced Policy Management and Visibility
Policy Matrix Outline View Schema
Red and green filled cells looked fine in demos, but during actual policy management sessions? Eye strain. Washed-out simulation indicators. Visual fatigue.
Release 26.1 introduces an outline view schema with a softer color palette. You get clearer icons across standard, dark mode, and color-blind accessible views, plus a new icon type for externally controlled policies. Finding what you need takes less time and fewer squints.
Policy Matrix Enhanced Filtering
Filter policies by Status (Active, Simulation, Externally Controlled, No Policy) and Type (Allow All, Deny All, Custom Policy). Combine filters however you want. Large environments become navigable.
Policy Evaluator Visual Clarity
Rotating dots to show Allow/Deny results confused people. “Is it still loading?” Now you see directional arrows instead. Clear. Intuitive. Done.
Policy and Policy Group Audit History
New “Events” tabs on Policy and Policy Group details pages show every modification: what changed, when, and who made the change. Governance, troubleshooting, and compliance documentation all get easier.
Policy Details Page Redesign
Cleaner left panels. Better navigation. Subnets consolidated with Matching Criteria. Less clicking to understand your policy configuration.
Improved Match Criteria Readability
Match criteria now display across multiple rows when needed, and show connector names instead of IDs. No more hovering or editing just to understand what a policy does.
Observability and Reporting Enhancements
Dashboard Snapshot Scheduling and PDF Generation
Dashboard Snapshots enable capturing a moment-in-time view of the Executive Summary Dashboard as well as any future dashboards. Snapshots can be generated immediately or optionally scheduled to run on a daily or weekly basis, providing the results via PDF.
Distribution Zone Traffic Analytics
Analyzing network traffic between Distribution Zones unlocks new dimensions to further understand traffic patterns between zones. Hover over a Distribution Zone to reveal local and remote host counts communicating between Distribution Zone Pairs.
Elisity Virtual Edge Serviceability Improvements
Remote diagnostics and health checks now run on Elisity Virtual Edges through our Task Broker framework, with no direct customer intervention required. Issue resolution gets faster. Maintenance windows during upgrades and troubleshooting shrink.
We’ve also expanded license support. Switches with Legacy and Limited license levels can now onboard as Elisity Virtual Edge Nodes for device enrichment. Older or restricted licensing models no longer block endpoint discovery and network visibility.
User Experience Refinements
- Quick Command Navigation now reaches additional Settings pages: SSO Configuration, Session Policies, Suppression List, and more
- Onboarding Checklist Phase 2 links directly to relevant Knowledge Base articles for each task. You can also add your own KB links to custom tasks.
- Policy Matrix Accessibility Improvements bring better keyboard navigation with logical focus order
