Elisity Release 26.1
We're excited to announce Elisity Release 26.1, delivering significant enhancements across visibility, policy intelligence, and infrastructure flexibility. This release responds directly to customer feedback while introducing powerful new capabilities that accelerate microsegmentation deployments and reduce operational overhead.
Centralized Intelligence with Native Agentic Operations
Elisity Insights redefines the conventional AI interaction model through Native Agentic Operations. Rather than relying on users to prompt AI for answers or invest time building and managing agents, Elisity delivers purpose-built native agents that proactively engage the operator.
These agents function as always-on sentries at the front line of the network, continuously evaluating conditions to strengthen security posture. They autonomously identify opportunities to recommend new policy groups, propose and create policy rules, activate policies, and analyze device traffic to build richer identities—even for previously unclassified devices, including those using randomized MAC addresses. We keep you, the human, in the loop for all decisions while offering bulk actions to rapidly accept or reject recommendations.
By embedding intelligence directly into operational workflows, Elisity Insights dramatically reduces manual effort and operational friction, accelerating time to value while enabling more adaptive, resilient network security. All while keeping your data private using private LLMs with no reliance on training.
Extended Network Visibility for Legacy Infrastructure
Visibility-Only Elisity Virtual Edge Nodes (VENs) address a common challenge: Many organizations have older Cisco switches at the access layer that lack the features required for full policy enforcement. Release 26.1 introduces read-only Visibility VENs that discover and onboard legacy switches (like Cisco 2960x and 3560 series). These Visibility VENs collect device data to enrich Elisity IdentityGraph™ without requiring any configuration changes to the switches. This gives security teams complete network visibility even in environments with aging infrastructure.
Microsoft Hyper-V Support for Elisity Virtual Edge (VE) expands deployment flexibility for organizations considering alternatives to VMware, a common request across both hybrid and manufacturing environments. Elisity Virtual Edge (VE) now deploys seamlessly across VMware ESXi, Azure Cloud and Microsoft Hyper-V environments, with the same configuration and management workflows through Elisity Cloud Control Center.
Executive Summary Dashboard Enhancements
The Executive Summary Dashboard gains flexible time range controls (Last Week, Last Month, Last Year, and Custom Range) along with an Active Site Time Range option. New visualizations include:
- Elisity IdentityGraph™ section showing active connectors with enriched device counts
- Traffic Vector analysis with Policy Group and device-level views
- Visibility VEN metrics with time-series data
Identity and Asset Management
NetBox Labs Integration brings enterprise asset management capabilities to Elisity IdentityGraph™. NetBox Labs functions similar to ServiceNow CMDB for infrastructure assets including access points, firewalls, switches, routers, and compute resources. This integration enables Elisity IdentityGraph™ enrichment and trust attribute support for validated sources—a specific requirement from enterprise customers for infrastructure device policy management.
Custom Connector Enhancements introduce full CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) functionality for individual device entries. While most device imports require no manual intervention, occasional scenarios demand editing specific attributes or adding one-time entries like guest device registrations. Role-based access control ensures proper permissions for these management operations.
Microsoft Entra ID integration now displays user account names in addition to authentication data, improving user visibility and aligning with other identity source integrations as organizations migrate from on-premises Active Directory to cloud identity management.
Additional Elisity IdentityGraph™ improvements include:
- Claroty xDome enrichment support for retired devices, preventing visibility gaps
- ORDR integration has better handling for VLAN 0
- Enhanced device filtering with "does not contain" operators
- Active Directory agent descriptions for easier identification
Streamlined Operations
Distribution Zone ITD Capacity Monitoring now includes Intelligent Tag Distribution (ITD) table utilization in capacity calculations, giving administrators accurate metrics for sizing and threshold alerts. This enhancement responds to feedback from customers managing large-scale deployments.
Elisity Virtual Edge (VE) and Virtual Edge Node (VEN) Onboarding improvements reduce configuration complexity. The Elisity Virtual Edge (VE) wizard now displays the Elisity Cloud Control Center URL and Client Secret directly in the final onboarding step with click-to-copy functionality. Elisity Virtual Edge Node (VEN) configuration moves less common options into a collapsible Advanced Settings section, presenting only essential fields by default—management IP, description, and credentials.
Policy Management enhancements include increased Policy Set naming length (now 50 characters to accommodate naming conventions like "Hospital Production Enforcement"), reorganized Policy Group columns with the most-used fields moved left, and improved table search for static Policy Groups.
The Elisity Deployment Score replaces the previous Policy Enforcement Score with more accurate calculations that account for device counts within Policy Groups and site label assignments. This provides clearer visibility into microsegmentation maturity across your environment.
User Experience Refinements
Additional UX improvements include:
- Active Directory agent health indicators with per-domain-controller status visibility
- Collapsible workflow navigation panels for additional screen space
- Quick Command search with contextual suggestions for common tasks
- Enhanced keyboard navigation throughout Security Profiles
- RBAC description column directly in the table view
